| Hey everyone, I think it is time for another update... School... School has been pretty good lately. I took my first university midterm last tuesday. I think I did okay on it, but those damn scenario questions always get the best of me. My drama class has been going by pretty smoothly. I just recently saw a play called, "Rumors" by Neil Simon on saturday. It was a really funny play and well acted. My story structure class always gets interesting every week we come in. Slowly, but surely, the story for my movie is unfolding which is awesome. I guess I will put the logline for my movie and let me know what you think.... A dishonorable discharged Iraqi War Marine fights drug trafficing in his small peaceful hometown, while suffering from PTSD. I really wanted this movie to be a story of a hero who is searching for recognition for the good that he is doing, but his reputation in the Iraq War prevents people from viewing him as a hero. "Something to think about..." There is this thing that has been lingering in my mind. ADULTERY....the form where a significant other has another relationship with another person. Cheating basically. I overheard this thing where the government could make adultery a felony in the legal system. In my opinion, it is a great idea, but law enforcers might not want to waste time making busts on cheating spouses. We also have to consider the regulations and degree of the adultery. I seriously think there is adultery being committed like every ten seconds in the United States. Where it be husbands cheating on wives, boyfriends playing around with another girl while having a girl friend, or et cetera. I believe that adultery deserves to be a felony because it can so many negative affects on a family or couples. Lets say we are just talking about boyfriend/girlfriend types at the ages of 21 and over....One or the other is cheating on their significant other and the boyfriend or girlfriend reports adultery to the police, knowing that he or she has proof. Who does the police officer take to jail? The cheating person, of course, but what about the other person? Could that person be charged as an accomplise, or just be let off the hook assuming that he or she didn't know that the felon was cheating. It can be a controversial thing, but I think adultery needs to be cracked down upon because women don't deserved to be cheated on. I say this to women, because I think it's a likelihood that men are the ones cheating. | | |
| Hey everyone, I believe it is time for an update.
School.... School has been going pretty good so far. Since the last time I updated, I managed to waive one of my classes because I already took an equivalent at RCC. So, I dropped the class and added another. So technically, I am ahead. I like all my classes pretty much, but I don't like my American Film class. It is pretty boring and the past 2 class meetings, we have been watching silent films....ugh! It is torture. My night class is probably my favorite class because it is small, for one, and it is a nice environment to work on our creative ideas.
New Friend.... Yes! I made a new friend at Cal State Fullerton. It happened much faster than I thought hahaha. Her name is Lacy. She is in my Story Structure class at 7pm. We both found out that we live in Riverside, and now we carpool to school thursdays. We actually have two classes together. She is really energetic, and she is a really cool person to talk to. The drive to Fullerton goes by way fast when she is in the car hahahah. Too bad we are gonna be able to carpool till like October though....=/
Geez, I have no idea what else to talk about.... Oh! I just read and watch this article about Kanye West crashing the stage of the VMA's and stealing the spotlight from Taylor Swift. Kanye West is such an inconsiderate idiot. He can be competitive in the music business, but to take someone's glory and totally shift it to someone else is wrong. When Taylor Swift was in the middle of the her congratulatory speech, Kanye took the mic from her and said "Taylor, I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce's video was the best video of all time!" Implicitly, Kanye is basically giving Taylor permission to wait and let him speak what was in his small brain of his. 1) Who cares what you think, because someone else already won it, 2) How would you like it if someone stole the spot light from you and said that 50 Cent's video was the better than your's, and 3) I think Kanye has put himself closely down towards the level Chris Brown is at right now. People will see him differently....and in a negative way. I'm glad that Pink came up to Kanye and made him realize, if he even did realize, that he pissed off a lot of people including Pink. Pink just walked up to him and shook her head in disgust.
That's all I have on my mind. I will update again soon.

| Hey everyone, I think it is time for an update. G4!!!! Dai Hoi Huynh Truong Yeah, I guess I can start here. The camp was fun....I mean, what else can I say lol. It was at a campground called Silverado park or lake, I forgot which one. The place was alright, but I am really picky on camp sites. I really liked Hunington Beach Park, and El Dorado Park. Not to get off tangent here, there were quite a bit of HT's there. I came to camp with Kim, from San Bernardino, and met up with Ngan, from Ontario, there. We decided to represent our Lien Doan, which is practically dead. The reason why I went to this camp was to see if this single camp can bring some TNTT spirit back to me. Since I was one year removed from Sinh Hoat TNTT, I would say that the camp served its purpose for me =) I have renewed TNTT spirit now, and I really want to go back to TNTT this coming year. Highlights of the camp: Olympic Competition- I took part in the track & field event, the relay run, and it was intense. The distance that my team and I had to run was farther than I thought. It was a team of 3, and I decided to go second to see how much we need to catch up to how much to build on our lead. The distance was about 40 yards, maybe more, UPHILL too. Our team won, left everyone in the dust. Friday Night's Talent Show- Yeah, the talent show was really good, with the skit from SD TNTT, and singing from people of St. Barbara. There was also a dance tribute to the song "Million Ways To be Cruel". It was a good night. Chau Thanh The- I actually felt enlightened from the night of adoration. I really felt the presence of God there that night, and I never felt so happy about it. That is all I have to say about G4, I guess, it was a nice camp. Some people were lame enough to leave early. Whack! CAL STATE FULLERTON!!!! Yes, I started my first day of Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday. I went to school on Monday to get stuff settled in and find my classes because I didn't want to wait till my first official day to do that. I got my membership into the rec center, Student ID card, and a couple of text books for class. OMG! You have no idea how many beautiful women there at CSUF!! I thought it was just a myth, but it came to reality to me, and I felt like I was in a movie hahahah. My classes seem okay so far. I have one more class tonight, and I hope that I don't fall asleep in it haha. The drive to Fullerton can be very exhausting, in fact, its the only thing that is making me so tired throughout the day. Cal State Fullerton has a lot to offer, in terms of fun, so I shouldn't be bored here that much. I think that is all I have to update about. I hope everyone is still enjoying a summer vacation! | | |
| Hello Everyone! I don't know why I keep updating only once a month =/ but I will give you guys a heads up now. Summer... Summer vacation has been okay. I've been doing things here and there. I have been hanging out with my cousins Chris and Calvin a lot this summer which is cool. We went to the beach, Cal State Fullerton a couple of times, and taking this dumb survey. Summer school ended, so not much working out anymore =/ I can't seem to work out at home like I do at school, I just get distracted at home to easily and I don't have that much equipment. I did go to the beach like twice and it was nice. I finally got tanned up and stuff like that. Hangin' with friends... I also have been catching up with some friends that I haven't seen in a while this summer. The first friend that I hung out with was Nooryea. I haven't seen her since senior year of high school. I got the idea of hanging out with her because I ran into her at RCC which was weird because I have always known her to go to UCR. I then find out that she graduated from UCR in 3 years with a business degree. She is an amazing person, in terms of education, because she also graduated high school in 3 years. She is now going to RCC to pursue her passion in Nursing. Good luck Nooryea! This summer, I finally go to see Lina. Lina is my friend from Wisconsin. She used to live in Riverside and go to TNTT here 4 years ago. I remember the last time I saw her, she was a little 12 year old. Now, she is a 16 year old, 5'6" beauty. I was very happy to see her again and to catch up with her. She basically told me everything that has been going on and what she plans to do. She is ambitious and responsible now. There were some indications where I am severly concerned for her though. I hope she can escape the whole teenage life in one piece. I plan to hang out her again before she heads back to Wisconsin. The little hangout with Angelica is still in the works. I'm really not plannin on anything, but I just want to hang out with her for the first time as friends before I start school. All we have been doing as friends is just saying hi to each other around school. Unfortunately, Angelica just got sick so we had to cancel our hangout yesterday. Get well soon, Angelica! School.... Man, I'm kind of dreading talking about this. Well, I'm going to start the fall semester at Cal State Fullerton in a couple of weeks and I am kind of nervous, but I think I will be okay. I did take a little tour around the school, so I sorta know the area. I was nearly dropped from all my classes that I enrolled in because I was past due on my tuition payment. I wasn't aware that the tuition payment was due so soon after I registered for classes. I was used to registering for classes and like paying the first day like RCC allows students to do hahah. My class schedule kinda sucks because on thursday I have to stay at school till like almost 10 PM. The bright side is that I will still be able to work at North High School again on fridays. I hope Greg will take me back. I think that is about all that I could update on I guess. See you guys on my next post! | | |
| Hey! So, it has almost been a month since I lasted updated, so now it's time to write.... VYC.... So, I went to VYC 09 this passed weekend, and it was alright to me. The whole event, itself, seemed a little dry and boring. I'm saying this from a perspective of someone who went alone. I'm pretty disappointed that not a lot of people from my church. In fact, I was the only person from Riverside that went to VYC that I know of. I ran into people from Ontario, and it's a shame that they had more people than Riverside. I did run into a friend of mine who went to Houston, Texas a couple of years back for a "Come and See". So I decided to chill with him the whole weekend. The scheduling of VYC was pretty straight forward, with not a lot of activities consisted in it. It was basically; gather in the Pyramid, have a little rally, go to lecture of your choice, eat, sports or games, another lecture, eat, another rally in the Pyramid, and finally sleep. I went to VYC 03 and that was way better than the one I just went to. Of course, if I came with a bigger group, my opinion may be different. So, not much to say about VYC, other than it was okay.....But to the guys who drank on Saturday and started to shout out saying F@#K THE POLICE! You guys can go to hell for waking me up at 5 AM. Summer Plans.... I'm going to Disneyland on Sunday, hopefully my cousins are able to go. I might go to the beach friday, but that is a coin-toss because I want to go to my usual confession and bible study. Lina is coming down to California from Milwaulkee, today through mid August, so hopefully, I get to hang with her at least once. Oh yeah! School is going okay, I'm taking physical fitness and basketball class. My body is taking severe punishment every week and I am always tired and, don't forget to mention, HOT! The weather has been heatin' up and getting uncomfortable. Dai Hoi Huynh Truong Mien Tay Nam is also coming up in August. I haven't been very active in TNTT this year, but I will go to this event to try to get my spirit up. HOPEFULLY, people from my doan don't flake. We gotta put Riverside on the map in our Mien, I'm serious. I guess that's it. Hit me up if you anyone wants to hang out. Have a great summer! | | |
